Job Title Analyst

Department Fund Operations - General Partner Operations

Purpose of the role- Analyst to join the General Partner Accounting Team and work on global fund accounting based at Mumbai.

Scope & Key Responsibilities
 Perform daily cash reconciliations for our General Partner entities
 Track liquidity of investments and help allocate the corresponding proceeds, carry and income to carry members.
 Tracking and booking entries for income, expenses, gains/losses, transfers, capital calls, etc. for General Partner funds.
 Working on unique notes template for calculation of Notes Receivable/Payable balances for our carry participants at every quarter end.
 Performing and preparation of various reconciliations to ensure ledger accuracy after posting entries, intercompany rec, to reconcile receivables/payables, etc.
 Prepare schedules to provide input in relation to the review and monitoring of existing business process, procedures and checklists to maximise efficiency and productivity.
 Liaise with various stakeholders in the day to day accounting of the General Partner Funds. While also helping with other custom reporting and projects for specific investor needs
 Working on other ad-hoc activities and special projects as needed.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
 CA or MBA Finance (If Graduate, work experience should be 3-4 years in similar industry)
 Relevant Work Experience-1-3 years
Preferred Skills & Competencies
 Requires strong technology skills especially Excel (macros, power query, pivot tables, sumifs, lookups, etc.)
 High integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive firm information.
 Well organized, proactive and able to effectively prioritize and balance multiple efforts in a fast-paced, regulatory driven environment
 Experience of Fund Accounting for Private Equity/Hedge Funds

 Expert technical understanding of accounting & Private Equity concepts
Must have good communication skills and know how to deal with international clientele 
 The individual must be collaborative, adaptable and must be a team player Strong experience in documenting processes and standard Operation Procedures 
 Working knowledge of Investran ledger will be desirable.
